Edit: Management responded to my review and my email promptly and handled the situation kindly with professionalism. They offered me a full refund and a gift card to correct the situation I’m satisfied with how they handled this mishap. Last night my friend and I each ordered a poke bowl and I decided to order Udon soup. Our poke bowls were yummy nothing wrong with them. When I opened my soup it smelled strange but I didn’t think much of it because maybe they use difference seasonings or anything and I didn’t pay much attention to it (I also wasn’t expecting what happened next) but when I took a bite it was so bitter in my mouth I had to spit it out and the noodles were complete mush (not to mention it was cold). When I came back to my soup from spitting it out the smell hit me. The cabbage and other leafy greens had clearly gone bad! I’ll attach photos because I didn’t even believe it and I was looking at it. I had to close the lid because the smell was making my friend gag. When I closed the lid I saw there was a sticker with the day of the week and the date of which it was made which I saw “Wednesday” on it before I opened it but I assumed it was this past Wednesday (which would have already been a bit old but I was hungry and excited for my soup) but it was Wednesday September 13th! 17 days after it was made! This is absolutely unacceptable. I would have handled this outside of leaving such an intense review but they never picked up the phone when we originally wanted to place the order, or after I ran into this situation and we called multiple times and I don’t live in EL. I would not go back here again because not only was that soup kept for that long but the employee that packaged my food didn’t pay attention to the date on it and gave it to me. I’m the photos you can see the black, decomposing edges of the purple cabbage.

(An update follows) I loved this place until I got this bowl (see photo). I ordered a pickup but didn’t notice that the store was closing soon, and ended up picking up 40 min after they closed ( the online order receipt said the order would be ready after their business hours actually, but I did arrive late so it’s my bad anyway). I really appreciated that this staff waited for me while closing the store. However, I was very disappointed when I opened the box. It seemed they ran out of many items (including the proteins) and made my bowl without any replacement items. I went there one month after my previous experience. Today they had a kid making my bowl. The kid looked like under 10. A staff was with them but I saw them touching their hair right before touching food. COVID is still a thing and food poisoning can kill people. I understand it would be a great opportunity for kids IF they learned and followed rules properly. I bet it was the owner's kid? So unprofessional. They put ingredients I didn't want, smoke salmon instead of salmon without asking me, and brown rice tasted weird.

Great Poke place in Downtown East Lansing ! Service was great and the poke bowl ingredients were very fresh. We tried the Signature choices and felt the combinations were just ok. Prices seem a bit high for the portions given but taste was good. It’s worth trying out if you’re in the area!

First time at this location and it was so good. Ordered online, had free and easy parking. Store is well decorated and overall enjoyable to be in. Service was great. Adding this to my lunch routine.

This restaurant is just soooo good. All the ingredients are FRESH and the bowl tasted so good. And I want to highly rate the professionalism of the staffs. For me, it was really common that restaurant staff mistakenly forget to exclude or include certain ingredients. But the staff in Poke fresh, never missed to perfectly satisfy my numerous topping requests. I would recommend this place to who ✔Want to try fresh & tasty food ✔Trying to lose weight ✔Need a Quick yet healthy lunch Hope this place flourish more, when the students come back to city soon.
